Short answer: wearing thin, close-fitting clothes and standing relaxed and upright, use a non-stretch tape to measure height, shoulders, chest, waist, hips, sleeve and leg, and check every figure twice. Then send the numbers and three photos (front, side, back) on WhatsApp to +90 531 898 64 18.
What to prepare
- A non-stretch sewing tape (cloth or coated plastic). A metal builder's tape can mislead on curves.
- A full-length mirror, paper and a pen; write each figure down as soon as you take it.
- If possible, a helper: nobody can measure their own back or shoulders reliably alone.
- Thin, close-fitting clothing (T-shirt, leggings) or underwear; a thick sweater or coat adds to every figure.
Ground rules for every measurement
- Stand upright and relaxed; do not tense your shoulders or hold your breath.
- The tape should touch the body without squeezing it: snug, not tight.
- For circumferences the tape must run parallel to the floor, with no slope at the back.
- Take each measurement twice. If the two differ, try a third time and write down the middle value.
- Use centimetres. If your tape is in inches, 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
Which measurement is taken where?
| Measurement | Where to take it | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Height | Barefoot, back against a wall: floor to the top of the head. | Rest a flat book on your head, mark the wall, then measure from the floor. |
| Shoulder width | Across the back from one shoulder point to the other, over the base of the neck. | The shoulder point is where the arm meets the body; find it by feel. |
| Chest / bust | Around the fullest part of the chest, arms down, tape passing under the shoulder blades. | Measure after a normal breath out, not holding a deep breath. |
| Waist | At the natural waist, the line where the torso creases when you bend to the side. | Where trousers sit can differ from the natural waist; write both down. |
| Hips | Around the widest part of the hips, feet together. | Empty your pockets. |
| Sleeve length | From the shoulder point over the elbow to the wrist bone, arm slightly bent. | A straight arm gives a figure that is too short at the elbow. |
| Wrist | Once around, just above the wrist bone. | Take off watches and bracelets. |
| Inseam | From the crotch to the ankle bone (or to the hem length you want). | Best of all: measure the inner seam of trousers that already fit you. |
| Outseam | From the waist along the side to the ankle. | Think about the shoes you will wear and note the hem length you want. |
| Neck | Around the base of the neck where a shirt collar sits. | Leave room for one finger under the tape. |
| Skirt length | From the waist down to the length you want (above knee, knee, midi...). | Mark the target length in the mirror and let your helper measure it. |
Extra notes for women and men
Women. For dresses, blouses and skirts take the bust at its fullest point, the waist at the natural waistline and the hips at the widest point. For evening wear and special cuts also add the length from shoulder to waist and from shoulder to the hem you want.
Men. For shirts and jackets the neck, shoulders, chest, sleeve and back length matter most. For trousers note waist, hips, inseam and outseam; for a suit state the sleeve and trouser length with the shoes you will wear.
Measuring a garment that already fits you
- Lay a garment you consider a perfect fit (trousers, shirt, dress) flat and smooth out the wrinkles.
- For chest, waist and hips measure straight across one layer and double the result.
- For length measure from the shoulder seam to the hem, for the sleeve from the shoulder seam to the cuff, and for the inseam from the crotch seam to the hem.
- It also shows which dimensions of that garment you like and which feel loose or short. Send a photo of it together with the numbers.
Common mistakes
- Pulling the tape too tight or leaving it slack.
- Measuring over thick clothing.
- Taking the waist where the trousers sit and mixing it up with the natural waist.
- Measuring the sleeve with a straight arm.
- Keeping numbers in your head, or mixing centimetres and inches.
- Trying to measure your own back and shoulders alone.
How to take the photos
- Three full-length photos: front, side and back, in close-fitting clothes.
- Hold the phone level at chest height and shoot in good light in front of a plain wall.
- Your face does not need to be in the picture. A photo showing the tape on the body helps us.
- Add a reference photo of the style you want (a magazine, a website, a garment you own).
Measurement form: fill in your numbers and get a ready WhatsApp message
Empty fields are left out of the message. Nothing is sent to a server: the text is only placed into the WhatsApp message that opens.

Questions about measuring
Can I measure myself alone?
Height, waist, hips and leg lengths usually work alone. For shoulders, back and sleeves a helper gives far more reliable figures.
Which tape should I use?
A non-stretch cloth or coated plastic sewing tape is best. A metal builder's tape can distort the reading around curves.
What if I cannot take the measurements?
Ask on WhatsApp: send the measurements of a garment that fits you well and a full-length photo, and we will work out the next step together.
I measured in inches. What now?
Send the figures and add the note "inches"; 1 inch is 2.54 centimetres. Sending centimetres avoids any mix-up.
How do I find out the price?
The price is given on WhatsApp from a photo or the details of the job. Made-to-order and evening wear have no fixed price list.
Can I order from another city or from abroad?
Yes. The service covers Antalya and abroad; the shipping fee is paid by the customer. Details are settled on WhatsApp.
